Roasted Black Mission Figs with Crumbled Blue Cheese and Honey

Last summer I had an amazing dessert at a Boston restaurant called Lineage, which consisted of warm Black Mission figs topped with blue cheese.  It was tantalizingly delicious!!  So simple and yet, it really was the perfect ending to a summer meal.  I saw some gorgeous organic Black Mission figs at Whole Foods a couple days ago and decided to try recreating this dish.  It was incredibly easy and satisfying.

Roasted Black Mission Figs with Crumbled Blue Cheese and Honey
Serves 4

8 oz Black Mission figs, stemmed and sliced in half
1/4 - 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese, depending on your preference
Honey for drizzling

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Place fig halves in a baking dish, cut side up.  Evenly distribute crumbled blue cheese over figs.  Bake for 10-15 minutes until the figs are hot and the cheese is melted.  Remove from the oven and drizzle with honey before serving.  Serve immediately.
